We are learning all about colours and this morning we wanted to find out what happens when you paint over a picture. We drew pictures of fish with wax crayons and then painted over the top with blue watery paint. We thought we wouldn't be able to see our pictures under the paint, but when we put the paint on the top you could still see our pictures!
This afternoon we are going to explore if this works with other things too, such as felt pens, colouring pencils and chalks. What do you think will happen?

What's in the box?
This afternoon we have been learning all about question words and question marks. We had to find out what was in our mystery box and thought of questions to ask Miss Ayres to help us find out. Special mention goes to Harry, who earned a house point by asking super questions. We asked questions such as, "What colour is it?" "Where did it come from?" "What is it made of?" and "How do you use it?" Then, when Miss Ayres had answered our questions, we guessed what was in the box. Read our clues below and see if you can guess what was in the box!
It is silver.
It is made of metal.
You use it to open things.
What is it?

iPad art
This morning Jamie drew a fantastic picture on the iPad. We're having lots of fun exploring the iPads and using them to help our learning.

The wild wolf!
This morning Grace and Hope chose to write a story on the computer about a wild, naughty wolf. They used the computer brilliantly, came up with lots of ideas and worked really hard. Read their fantastic story below!
