Descriptive writing about snow

This afternoon we have been writing descriptive sentences about snow. We looked at pictures of snow and talked about what it was like. We made a list on the board of lots of words that described snow or how it moved, e.g sparkly, crunchy, beautiful, swirling. Then we had to write a sentence to describe snow using some of the good words we'd thought of. We all did a fantastic job thinking of words to describe the snow - here are our lovely sentences!

Glittery snowflakes fell. - Lexi
Twinkly snow is falling. - Trystan
White frosty snow falls down from the sky. - Ollie
Shiny glittery snowflakes fall softly from the sky. - Hope
Sparkly snowflakes float to the ground. - Lilly
The deep freezing snow is crunchy. - Matthew
Freezing sparkly snow is falling heavily from the sky. - Grace
Sparkly snow falls. - Jamie
Smooth shiny snow is swirling in the sky. - Lucy
The deep cold snow is crunchy under my feet. - Harry
Shiny glittery snow is twirling in the sky. - Maddie
I shiver as cold snow falls on me. - Rhys
Beautiful white shiny snow came down. - Aaron
